After playing a hot teacher in her latest film Nasha, Poonam Pandey is all set to appear in a desi avatar. Poonam’s character in her next film is inspired from desi divas Smita Patil and Zeenat Aman.
Says the actress, “Rustic characters played by Smita Patil and Zeenat Aman have always inspired me. They looked sensuous even in a sari. I am keen to play an Indian beauty and I am excited about the new role.”
Scriptwriter Ajit Rajpal, who also wrote the script of Nasha, said, “After Nasha I have written this story keeping Poonam’s personality in mind. During my interactions with her, I have observed her strong points. The role syncs well with her looks and give her a different image.”
